Get a Password to Take the Exam

Access to the online practice exams are until December 1 of each year. If you need access to the exam past this date, contact us.

There are four 60 question exams and three 30 question exams. Allot 2 hours for the 60 question exams and 1 hour for the 30 question exams.

In addition, there are two extra sections on unknown image identifications: one for liver biopsies (14 slides) and one for alimentary biopsies (28 slides).

There may be additions to this material as the year advances so please check periodically.

If you registered for the course or bought course materials, you should have been sent a password. Do not register again. Contact us with your name and email address and we will send you your password.

Otherwise, the cost for a subscription to take the exams is $350.00, which you can purchase through Paypal.

These Board-type practice exams are free for course registrants and purchasers of the DVD's and or CD's of the course. Please contact us to get access to the exams.

For others, (who are not registered for the course or are not purchasers of the enduring materials), you can purchase access to the exam through Paypal.

About the Exam

The questions and figures on these exams and image identifications have been provided by the faculties of the course, as well as, other interested clinicians. These individuals have no knowledge of the actual questions on the ABIM exam.

According to the ABIM website ( ABIM.org) the distribution of the questions is as follows: esophagus 10%, stomach 15%, liver 25%, biliary tract 8%, pancreas 10%, colon 15% and general 7%. The ABIM certification exam is a four 60 question-bloc exam (8 hours) and the re-certification exam is a three 60 question-bloc exam (6 hours). The exams on this website have been created using this organ distribution of questions.

To simulate the ABIM exam, each 60 question exam should be taken in a 2 hour time period and each 30 question exam in 1 hour. In addition there are image identification slide sections to improve your skills.

As time goes on we may be adding future exam questions or image identification questions so please keep checking back periodically.

Instructions for the Exam

Grade Button - when you have finished taking the exam click the Grade Button to get a score for your exam. You can go back through the exam and see the correct answers with an explanation.

Ungrade Button - if you click the Grade Button before you finish the exam, you can click the Ungrade Button to clear your grade, so you can finish taking the exam without seeing the answers.

Retaking an Exam - to clear the answers so you can start over and retake an exam, on the page that lists your exams, click the link that says Clear Answers under the column heading Start Over.
